PIMEC informs about the strike on February 21

Convened by the union CSC Intersindical

PIMEC has reported that it has received the call for a general strike by the union CSC Intersindical for the next February 21, 2019, from 00 h to 23.59 h. in spite of being pending to receive the order of minimum services that must dictate the Department of Work, Social Subjects and Families of the Generalitat of Catalonia.

Other information of interest for companies before the call:

We remind that it is not possible to ask the workers for their intention or not to support the strike. We also remember that the worker who supports the strike can not be substituted.

What concepts are discounted to those workers who support the strike:

• Base salary and supplements except punctuality or similar.
• Proportional part of extra payments.
• Proportional part of the weekly rest, without affecting annual holidays or holidays.

Effects on quotes

The worker goes to a situation of “special high” and therefore the obligation to quote both the part of the company and the worker is suspended.

The company must communicate to the Social Security the list of workers whose contracts have been suspended, notifying the date of reincorporation.

Positioning of PIMEC

PIMEC recalls that this general strike is only called by a minority union and, therefore, is not seconded by the most representative trade unions.
