Recruitment incentives
On 1 September next, a series of measures will come into force in the area of employment incentives regulated in Royal Decree Law 1/2023, of 10 January.
Among the new features are the following:
- The following changes affect the contracts of workers who are replaced during periods of leave due to childbirth, adoption or fostering, or whose contract is suspended due to risk during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- The 100% rebate on employers’ social security contributions is abolished and replaced by a fixed amount.
- Fixed-term replacement contracts are required to be concluded with young unemployed persons under 30 years of age.
- They will receive a subsidy of 366 euros per month. The duration of the bonus will coincide with the period of coincidence of the replacement contract and the respective benefit.
- A new rebate is created in the event of a change of post for workers at risk due to pregnancy or breastfeeding: a new rebate of €138 per month is applied to the contributions accrued during the period in the new post.
- Allowances are established in the contributions for changing jobs in the event of occupational illness.
