The Equality Plan for companies with more than 50 workers is mandatory from tomorrow
March 8, 2022 is the deadline for the Equality Plan in companies with more than 50 employees. Since then, all companies with more than 50 employees on the workforce must have drawn up their Equality Plan or, at least, have started the process of drawing it up with the creation of the Negotiating Commission.
Also coinciding with International Women’s Day, we want to highlight the efforts that companies are making to find a solution to the wage gap between men and women. There are still many things to do, and we refer to the statistics reported by the Ministry of Equality.
- The 22.3% rise in the Interprofessional Minimum Wage managed to reduce the wage gap to 19.5%.
- 68.39% of the more than three million salaried population who receive a maximum of 900 euros gross per month are women.
- Working full-time reduces the wage gap to 8.68%.
- Unskilled women workers are penalized by a wage gap of 28.46% and workers in health and personal care services receive 26.6% less pay than their male colleagues.
- Seven of the seventeen Autonomous Communities have gaps lower than the national average, the Basque Country, Galicia, Madrid, Extremadura, Castilla-La Mancha, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands.
- Of the more than six million retirement pensions , 38.68% are received by women who support a wage gap of 34.29%.
